What level of English do I need?
Our English courses are designed primarily for learners with an intermediate to advanced level of English (B1–C1). We can also organise courses for other levels when participants have similar language abilities.
What is included in the course?
The English course includes daily lessons, conversation practice and all course materials. Guests stay at Villa DanSio, our family-run B&B in Val d’Aveto. When meals are provided at the B&B, they are prepared and supplied by a local caterer. Please check the individual course description for details.
What does a typical day look like?
Mornings are generally dedicated to English lessons and conversation practice. Afterwards, guests have time to relax, enjoy the B&B or discover Val d’Aveto and the surrounding area. The atmosphere is informal and friendly, with plenty of opportunities to use English naturally throughout the day.
How many participants are in each group?
We keep our groups small to ensure personalised attention and plenty of opportunities to speak English. This creates a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone can take part with confidence.
What type of accommodation is available?
Guests stay at our family-run B&B, Villa DanSio, in the heart of the beautiful Val d’Aveto. Comfortable rooms are available for either single or shared occupancy.
How do I get to The Language Kitchen?
We will be happy to provide detailed information about travelling to Villa DanSio, including local public transport and taxi contacts. Guests make their own travel arrangements directly with the relevant transport provider.
Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
Meals can be provided by our local catering partner, who can accommodate many dietary requirements and food allergies where possible. Please let us know about any dietary needs when you book so that we can pass the information on to the caterer.
How much English will I speak during the course?
English is used throughout the course as much as possible—not only during lessons, but also during informal conversation and everyday activities at the B&B. The aim is to give you plenty of natural opportunities to use English in a relaxed environment.
What improvement can I expect by the end of the course?
Every participant progresses at their own pace. However, most students finish the course with greater confidence in speaking English, a wider vocabulary, improved fluency and a stronger ability to communicate naturally in everyday situations.
